So today I want to share with you 5 simple steps on how to start your self-improvement journey and become the best version of yourself, for good this time.

You are in complete charge of your life.
No matter how much we like to blame the world or the people around us for the mistakes we make and the things that happen to us, the truth is that our lives are the consequences of our actions, including the good and the bad.
It´s scary to admit that you are in the position you are because of you. But it also gives us power, because when you realize that you are not a tree struck to one place and when you start owning your actions and decisions that is when you can start to truly change your life and yourself.
But in order to do this and begin your self-improvement journey, you need to be honest with yourself about where your troubles come from and take responsibility for your dirt.

The first step to becoming the best version of yourself, or the first step in any goals you want to achieve really, is to create an action plan.
In this case a personal growth plan.
But why is it important to create a self-improvement plan?
There will always be a limit to how successful, how abundant, how wealthy, and happy you can be, and that limit is YOU. Because to have more than you´ve got, you have to become more than you are.
And without a plan, a direction, and a series of clear and actionable steps to follow, you´ll find it extremely difficult to achieve your goals no matter what they are.
Okay, but what exactly is a personal growth plan?
This plan is your personal roadmap that will help you achieve your dreams and become your best self without becoming overwhelmed and scared.
But not only that, because this map will help kill the insecurities and fears we face whenever we talk about change.
Let´s answer now the most important question, how is it exactly that you can successfully create a personal development plan?
You need to follow these 4 simple steps in order to create a self-improvement plan:
- Awareness: Before we begin is the actual creation of the plan, first we need to establish our starting point and what we need to work on by doing a little exercise called life audit.
- Life areas: Once you have done the life audit, it´s time to choose which areas of your life you need and want to work on first. Remember that tackling all of the changes you want to make is never a good strategy for becoming your best self in the long run. That´s why we only choose two life areas at a time to focus on.
- Create a personal development plan: Now comes the actual fun, which is creating the personal growth plan. You can do this by first creating a list of goals you want to achieve as well as changes you want to make and the perfect strategy to actually implement these things in your life without dying in the attempt
- Accountability: Once you have defined and worked on the previous steps and have started to follow your action plan, don´t forget about measuring your progress and evaluating your performance and achievements. If not all your planning and effort up till now will go to waste.

Did you know that we carry around beliefs that were created during our childhood?
But wait what are beliefs?
Well, our mind is divided into two parts- the conscious mind and the subconscious mind.
Now the subconscious mind acts based on a set of beliefs, which are repeated ideas that influence our thoughts, decisions, behavior, actions…
Our subconscious works like a computer. When we are first born it´s empty, it doesn’t contain any information. As we grow up it starts recording everything that happens to us.
This set of beliefs depends on our experiences, our education, the place, and the conditions we grew up in, how we were broad up, and the ideas that we were constantly repeated.
The strongest beliefs are recorded from the age of 0-15. And the interesting thing about the subconscious is that it acts first with the dominant desires mixed with emotional feelings, such as faith, fear, hope, hatred…
In conclusion, our subconscious is a part of our mind that acts based on a series of beliefs that are repeated ideas that influence our thoughts, actions, behaviors…
The strongest beliefs are recorded during the age of 0-15 and are the most determining ones in our lives.
But why are beliefs so important?
We might think that have free will and have control over our thoughts and actions, but the truth is that our beliefs control our lives like puppets with strings, except that unconsciously, we are the ones to create the strings.
Now, most of the time your brain works in autopilot mode. And it acts based on the set of beliefs printed on your subconscious.
But based on what kind of beliefs: positive or negative ones, empowering or destructive ones? That is the question that I want you to ask yourself.

It´s sad the fact that so many people today have a bad relationship with their selves and aren´t confident in who they are.
There are many reasons why we struggle so much nowadays with self-love, the media, the beauty standards, the kind of environment we grew up in… but so are the consequences of not loving and believing in ourselves.
Because here goes a hard truth. It doesn’t matter how much you plan and prepares yourself if you don´t believe in yourself and your capabilities to achieve whatever to set yourself to.
You won’t achieve the life you dream of, or become the best version of yourself unless you believe you can do so.
And in order to do this you need to start loving yourself and accepting and believing in the beautiful person that you are.
You need to leave aside your insecurities and stop letting fear control your life.
The thing holding you back the most is yourself, but the good news is that you are in complete control to change this. The question is what are you waiting for to start believing in yourself?
