It’s incredible the power our mind has. How it can hold and process a single, very simple memory that ends up having a huge influence on our life.

And this is actually how our mindset is created. Let me explain.

Our mind can be divided into two parts- our conscious mind and our subconscious.

When we are first born, our subconscious is “completely” empty. As we grow up it starts recording everything that happens to us- kind of like a computer.

Except that these “recordings” create a series of beliefs that determine our personality, thoughts, mindset, and ultimately our actions.

Because our most influential beliefs (both empowering and limiting) are recorded at such a young age (between the ages of 1-15), it is highly influenced by things like our environment, upbringing, and our parents between other things

You might be wondering why the hell am I telling you all this. Well, it’s because in order to create a new and healthy relationship with something (in this case money), you first need to heal yourself to be prepared for it.

And yes that includes facing your fears, uncovering not-so-pretty things like limiting beliefs and traumas, and most importantly forgiving yourself.

You might find it difficult to answer these questions since money is very much treated as a taboo subject in today’s society.

But if you are serious about healing your relationship with money and putting past you your money-limiting beliefs it’s important to keep your mind open.

Dig deep in yourself, be honest, and don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. After all these questions (and their answers) are for your eyes only.

Having said that don’t put too much pressure on yourself to answer all the prompts in this list. Start by answering a few ones.

And as you start to feel more comfortable with your money relationship, continue answering the rest, digging deeper into your beliefs and values.

These journal prompts are meant to help you identify and discover your money-limiting beliefs. Which is the first step you should take towards creating a mindset of abundance- one that attracts money and wealth- and leave your scarcity mindset behind along with your fears.
