Success takes a lot of grit, discipline, and faith in yourself.
But doesn´t mean that being successful is impossible, far from it. Remember that the best things in life take time and are incredibly worth working for.

Who would have told me there is a wrong way to set goals?! And the worst thing, we all fail tremendously when doing it.
Because we have never been taught how to actually set goals to achieve them successfully.
But don’t worry because I bring to you the most powerful method you can use to set goals.
But how does it even make a difference the way I set my goals?
Well even though actually committing to accomplishing a goal is very important, how we plan to achieve that goal, and how to do it strategically is just as important.
And this method, the T.A.R.G.E.T. method is designed to help you do just that.
So what does this method consist of?
The T.A.R.G.E.T method
The first step is about making the goal tangible, meaning to describe that goal in such detail that you can almost touch it.
For example don’t just say that you want to earn money, specify exactly how much money you would like to earn.
The second step is all about setting your goal with a positive outlook, meaning that our goals should reflect what we want to achieve, not what we don’t want.
Let’s see an example to understand this better. The goal is not to stop eating junk food, but instead to have a more balanced and healthy diet. See where I’m going?
The third step of this method is to make our goals realistic. To make a goal realistic you need to take into account your abilities or rather the skills you need to accomplish them as well as how doable is the goal you are setting for yourself.
The next thing you need to ask yourself is what you gain and what you lose by achieving that goal. Many times we set goals without considering the consequences they have in our life. So ask yourself really seriously the consequences of your goals and evaluate if you are willing to accept the changes these will have in your life.
The fourth step is to create evidence that the goal is achievable and you will accomplish it. We do this by determining exactly when you will feel that you have achieved your goal. Create an image in your head so real that you can describe it as if you were living it in real life.
And lastly time. It is essential to put a date to our goals for two main reasons.
The first is because we have the bad habit of postponing things when there is no deadline.
And the second reason is that an objective or goal that has a deadline makes it more tangible, more real.

One thing most people complain about is how they never have time.
Think about it, how many times a day do you complain about how fast time passes by, about how you never have time to complete the things you want to accomplish in a day or to start a new habit/activity/project?
Most of the time the reason why we “don’t have time” is because we don´t know how to prioritize and organize ourselves.
Entrepreneurs and business people understand the importance of time and that time is money.
If you are late for a meeting, it can set you back hours, days, or even weeks. If you are delayed on a project, you will pay thousands if not millions in lost revenue.
We all have the same 24 hours in a day. This is why you need to give yourself every advantage you can get.

Have you ever heard the quote consistency is key?
I know, you probably are sick of hearing it.
But even though this quote is overused, it’s true.
There are two things that every successful people has and you should cultivate. The first one is consistency, and the second one, which we will talk about in a few minutes, is discipline.
But what does it mean to be consistent, I mean what should I be consistent with?
Your resolution to grow and achieve your goals.
I know that looking at a goal and how you are planning to achieve it can seem daunting and even discouraging.
So I want you to look at it this way and ask yourself this question: what can I do today to make me 1% better than I was yesterday?
Just 1%. Sounds easy right? Well, that´s the idea!
Remember that your ultimate goal here is to achieve your dreams, not to do it in the fastest way possible. Because it doesn’t matter how fast or slow you walk, but that you are making progress and growing consistently.
You are running a marathon, not a sprint.
Invest in your personal growth
It doesn’t matter what your goals are, either financial, career-wise, etc. always make it a priority to invest in yourself and your personal growth.
Why is personal development so important?
Because everything starts on the inside, with you.
A wise man, called Jim Rohn, once said: “If you want to be wealthy and happy you have to learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job. If you work hard on your job you can make a living, but if you work hard on yourself you’ll make a fortune”.
There will always be a limit to how successful, how abundant, how wealthy, and happy you can be, and that limit is YOU. Because to have more than you´ve got, you have to become more than you are.
You cannot expect to be better at your job and be successful in your field of work unless you put in the work to improve yourself. You won´t be given a large amount of money to manage, for example if you are not prepared to do so.

One of the most important and distinctive characteristics of humans is our ability to feel emotions.
