7 Powerful mindset tools for entrepreneurs you need to try

This post is all about the 7 most powerful mindset tools for entrepreneurs.

Our minds are our most valuable assets.

And although there are many things that we haven’t yet discovered about the brain, there is one thing that we know for sure.

And that is that our minds are incredibly powerful and the reason behind our success or our biggest downfall.

But what is the determining factor that makes our life seem like a dream or our personal hell?

The answer is our mindset.

So now that you know this, I have one question for you: is your mindset the one you NEED to create your dream life?

Our mindsets are the glasses through which we see the world, they are the story behind the life we live.

As entrepreneurs, one thing that you have probably realized (or that you will soon) is that our minds are the biggest assets we have as well as something very precious that needs taking care of.

What we reap, we saw. Meaning that if we constantly feed our minds with negative and limiting thoughts that is what our life will become.

However our mind is not something fixed, we actually have the power to change our mindset and consequently change our life.

Now I know that the sentence “change your life” is very thrown out on the internet.

But I wanted this list to truly help you change your inner monologue so that you can too live your dream life instead of just imagining it.

So without further introduction let’s start with these 7 powerful mindset tools for entrepreneurs you can start using TODAY to change your mindset.

How to know which of these is the best for you?

All the tools we are about to discuss are incredibly useful and they all have their benefits.

However, all these tips are not going to serve you.

We all have different beliefs and needs and not every tool is going to be for you.

So how do u know which ones are for me and should try?

Follow your intuition. Try the mindset tools that make you feel excited to explore!

Remember that you are your best guide.

Writing out your thoughts, feelings, dreams…

Once the mind is stopped on paper, thoughts remain stable and inquiry can easily be applied.

Byron Katie

The first mindset tool that I want to share with you is to write down your thoughts and emotions.

When you use this technique you’ll be aware of two things:

  • The first is that you’ll stop the story you are playing in your head. When we write down our inner monologue you’ll start to see the story we are telling ourselves from a different perspective
  • Allow you to analyze and explore the kind of thoughts that occupy valuable space in your mind and they condition the way you view the world

Now as to the technique there is no one size fits all and the truth is that the technique is not as important as creating a safe and intentional space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.

Reconnecting with your intuition

We nowadays live in a constantly demanding environment where the time we actually spend actively listening to our thoughts is none.

And one of the things we neglect or least pay attention to, something that we have undermined is our intuition.

Our intuition is like a muscle that we have to exercise, the more we flex it, the stronger and clearer it will get.

Now working on our intuition may seem like an insignificant thing to work on.

But we often forget how powerful and useful this intuitive guidance is because we are incapable of being quiet enough to actually let it speak.

So what actually is our intuition? I want to explain this very clearly in order for you to understand how powerful your intuition actually is.

Intuition is that feeling in your gut when you instinctively know that something you are doing is right or wrong.

Or it’s that moment when you sense kindness, or fear, in another’s face. It is having to make a choice and feeling a hand sawing you in one direction or the other.

Intuition is doing something because you feel is what you should be doing.

And even though it’s something that we cannot see, it is very much real.

How can we start developing our intuition and actively listen to it?

There are many ways in which you can do this, for example, a morning walk by yourself, a meditation session, a yoga workout, or journaling, there is no one way to do it.

The goal is to find an activity that allows you to listen to your thoughts and to get in touch with them and therefore your intuition.

Questioning your thoughts

I want to introduce you to Byron Katie an American spiritual teacher, but especially to the methodology she uses called Work.

Work is a process meant to make you question your thoughts.

And what this process will make you realize is that one you are not defined by your thoughts and second, that we don’t have to believe the story that our mind is telling us, especially when this story is not the truth.

But what does this methodology consist of?

This inquiring process is based on 4 very simple questions, which are:

  • Is this true?
  • Can I know for certain that it’s true?
  • How do you feel when you have that thought?
  • Who would you be without that thought?

You can use these questions whenever you are having attacking thoughts, to question stories you catch yourself in, or even to help you work through your judgment towards others and yourself.

Daily self-discovery

How much do you actually know about yourself?

Do you know what kind of person you are when going through a hard time?

Do you know what exactly is it that you want from life?

What about the baggage you carry with you that it’s dragging you down?

It is shocking the amount of time we spend with ourselves and yet how little we know about ourselves.

So I highly encourage you to take the time every day to learn a little about yourself, either by journaling, self-reflection, trying new things…

You’ll be surprised at the things you’ll discover and the many benefits getting to know yourself has.

Never stop learning

As we said at the beginning of this blog post, our mind is our biggest asset.

However working on our mindset is not a one-time thing, it’s something that we constantly should work on, perfecting.

And one of the most effective ways we can do this is by reading and learning about personal development and self-improvement.

You have come to where you are with the information you have. If you want to go further you´ll need new information and put that information into practice.

Go out and question everything you believe and assume as a certainty, learn new things, new ways of doing things, new skills…

Remember: the difference between where you are and where you want to be is new information and hours of practice.

Visualization

Although visualization is considered a manifestation technique you can also use this method in order to create an empowering mindset.

But how is this so?

Our goal is to create a safe, empowering, and motivating mindset, one that will encourage us to be our best selves every day, to follow our dreams, and give out our very best.

So in order to create this type of mindset we need to first get rid of limiting beliefs and declutter our minds of negative thoughts, habits, etc.

Once we’ve done this, we just have to raise our vibration and incorporate those positive and empowering beliefs and habits.

One way we can do this is by using visualizations.

This powerful mindset tool consists of seeing a goal you want to accomplish as already complete in your mind. You have to imagine your life as if that goal has already been achieved.

Create that image in your mind with detail, imagine the impact this has on your life, the way it makes you feel, and the type of person you are now, and let this image raise your vibration and motivate you to do better.

Affirmations

Affirmations are sentences used to reprogram our subconscious minds. They can also be used to make us believe certain things about ourselves and the world or environment surrounding us.

Now one of the biggest misconceptions about affirmations is that reading them once is enough. But affirmations are trickier than that.

It’s not enough to read these motivational sentences. Because for a thought to record in the subconscious it MUST be accompanied by a strong emotion.

This means that when we read our affirmations, we need to combine them with a feeling.

How to successfully use affirmations

Okay, so how can I successfully use affirmations in order for them to work?

You simply have to read your affirmations and think about the emotions and feelings they evoke in you, let yourself be carried away by these feelings, by how they make you feel, and by how they influence your life.

Don´t forget to read out loud your affirmations at least once a day, preferably in the morning to start the day with an empowered and successful mindset, and to always always combine your affirmations with emotions for them to successfully record in your subconscious and create an empowering mindset.
