We all know and have learned in school that the world is governed by the laws of physics, such as gravity.
What we were not taught in school is that the complex and precious world we live in is governed by universal laws that condition and alter our lives.
Are you ready to learn these laws and how to use them to live the life of your dreams?
About ignorance
The ideas and laws I am going to talk about are probably new to you and may clash with the beliefs you have about the world or life.
It is up to you to keep an open mind on the subject and what to do with the information you will learn in this article, whether to use it to your benefit or to ignore it completely.
But a curious thing about ignorance is that it is not necessary for us to believe or not about the things that we do not know or do not trust, in order for them to have an effect on us.
It doesn’t matter whether you believe that the earth revolves around the sun or not, it will continue to rotate regardless of your beliefs.
What I mean is that it doesn’t matter if you believe that life is governed by the laws we are going to talk about in a moment or not, they will still have an effect on you and your reality.
So why not give new information a chance and a vote of confidence and do everything in our power to use it to our best advantage?
Mentalism Law
God, the Universe, a Divine Mind… has created the universe in which we live. Human beings are an extension of that creation, which gives us the ability to create and modify the universe in which we live.
To understand this better think of the universe as if it were a big tree. We would be the leaves growing from that tree. A leaf is not separate from the tree, but is part of it and contains its essence.
We are a part of the universe, we contain the same essence of which the universe is made.
We create our universe through the mind. What we think on a mental level, manifests on the physical level.
It is our attitude that defines everything that happens. The way you see the world is your interpretation. This applies not only to your body but also to your world.
For something to exist on the physical plane it must first be created on the mental/spiritual plane.
We are the creators of our reality. We are creators of our destiny.
What we think about the most is what will manifest in our reality. Reality is what we create it to be.
Our dominant thoughts are what create our reality. This means that what you are living in the present is a consequence of your dominant thoughts from the past.
It does not matter whether those thoughts are good for you or not, whether they are positive or negative. The universe and these laws do not differentiate between these two energies.
But what determines my dominant thoughts, and why do I keep having negative thoughts if I try so hard to think positive?
Our beliefs.
As we saw in the previous article “How to change your life by changing your mindset”, our beliefs are the glasses through which we see reality. How we see and manifest our reality is conditioned by our beliefs.
Beliefs are a set of principles, ideas, and opinions engraved in our subconscious from an early age. And what determines the nature of those beliefs is our childhood, the education we received, and the environment in which we grew up.
If you want to learn more about beliefs and how they influence our lives, click here.
It does not matter what the outside world looks like, but how we see it and what we believe it to be. If you believe in something with absolute certainty, your subconscious will see to it that it becomes your reality.
We have been told many times that you have to see to believe. But, in truth, to see, you must first believe.
How can we use this law to improve our lives?
Now that you know that what creates your reality is yourself, as part of the universe, god, divine force… You may be wondering how you can use this law to make your reality your dream life?
Start small. Why? This concept may or may not be new to you, but when we come across something new, something we have never tried before if we start with big things and see that it doesn’t work, we lose our faith right away.
Start small, like asking for a parking space every time you have to go somewhere or run an errand.
Before leaving just say: “I want a parking space in front of such place, in harmony with the whole universe, thank you”.
Don’t forget to say the last part and ALWAYS ALWAYS say thank you in advance, otherwise, the exercise won’t work.
Correspondence principle
“As above, so below, as within, so without. Your inner world creates your outer world. As it is in your mind is the physical world.”
We live in a world of dualities: cold-heat, left-right, clean-dirty, happiness-sadness…
You are probably already aware of this. What you may not be aware of is that we, humans, also move in a world of dualities: the physical world and the mental world, i.e. the inner world and the outer world.
Life is a great mirror, one in which we see reflected on the outside what is happening inside us.
We already know thanks to the principle of mentalism that we are the creators of our reality and that it is our dominant thoughts that determine it.
To understand this principle, let us return to the phrase belief in order to see.
Many believe that what happens in the outside world affects and alters their inner world. They think that what happens in their outer world is beyond their reach and that they have no control over it.
But the reality is quite the opposite.
Our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs create our reality, i.e. our outer world.
I want you to think of a tree. Its branches, its leaves, its fruits… all these visible elements create its outer world. But trees also have an inner world that we do not see, their roots.
What conditions the tree’s branches, its fruits, its leaves?
The roots, right. The health of a tree, the quality, and the taste of its fruits depends on the roots of the tree. Its inner world creates and conditions its outer world.
If the leaves, the fruits, or the trunk are not healthy, it is a reflection that there is something wrong with the roots.
What do trees and humans have in common?
They are both parts of nature. And because we are part of nature this principle also applies to us.
Remember, YOUR OUTER WORLD IS A REFLECTION OF YOUR INNER WORLD.
Your inner world is made up of your mindset, your emotions, and your spirit. Your outer world is something you perceive through your senses.
Inside the mirror, i.e. inside us, there is an infinite number of possible paths and futures. There is a rich self, a successful self, a frustrated self, an angry self… What chooses which future or path we live is our mind, which then manifests in the physical world, on the other side of the mirror.
In our inner world, we create and define how our relationships, our health, our economic situation, our work, our standard of living… will be. The universe then takes these definitions and beliefs and makes them real, projecting them into the physical world.
How to use the principle of correspondence in our life?
I am sure that more than once you have heard the phrase “fake it, ’till you make it”.
Well, this phrase describes very well how we can use this law to improve our life.
If you want to achieve something in the physical world, first you have to act/become the type of person that will get what you want. You must think, feel and act as if you already have it.
Don’t be fooled by the mirror reflection that is life. Your outer world should not affect your inner world. If you want to take charge of your life, what you think, your inner world has to be more important than what is happening outside.
If you are going through a bad situation and you let what you see in your reality affect you, if you surrender to the belief that what happens on the outside is out of your control, the only thing you will get is more of what is happening to you.
Don’t let yourself be affected by your current situation. The present is a consequence of the past. Take charge of your life and direct it to a better future.
