These steps are the blueprint to make sure you actually achieve your goals this year (we all know how frustrating it is to write the same thing year after year but never see it accomplished).
That’s why these steps are so important in any goal-setting process. In this post right here you’ll find the entire process of setting goals successfully.
But here are some tips and key points to help you along the way:
- Your goals must be specific. If you don’t write in detail what it is you want to achieve it will be much more difficult to create an action plan to actually achieve them. Plus when we set vague goals they seem harder to achieve because we don’t know ourselves exactly what we want.
That is why the first step in any goals-setting process is being specific about what you want. So whenever you see a goal you want to achieve, don’t just write exercise more for example.
Set out an exact amount of times you want to work out a week
Now I have good news because most of these goals are already written very specifically. But not every situation/ schedule/ routine is the same. So remember to adapt the goals to your needs and lifestyle.
- Remember to set realistic expectations. Managing your expectations and setting realistic goals is incredibly important in any goal-setting process. Remember you can always go back and set higher more challenging objectives. So start small and work your way towards bigger goals as the year goes by.
